Robert LeFevre’s life taught him that we not only do we not need government protection and services, but that it is the great enemy of humanity. Traditionally, because of our inability to get along, people believed that government was a necessary evil, but it was a necessary evil to restrain evil! In other words, government rulers are just as prone to evil as their subjects. So, how can it protect anyone?

If Americans want to have a constitutional republic bound by this Constitution, then they should each sign it with witnesses, like any other contract, and with the understanding that they will each be held responsible for all actions of the government and their agents, but we have never been asked to sign it, because we’d know better. If the Constitution has no authority, then on what authority does our government rest? By what authority do these pretenders administer and regulate our lives, seize our property, restrain our liberties, and take our lives? If some fools believe the Constitution good, then they should sign it, make their own laws, administer it upon themselves and leave the rest of us alone. If they haven’t tried it for themselves, how dare they impose it or recommend it to others?

Custom, law, and reason hold that no contract is valid until it is signed by all parties and delivered. The Constitution has no more authority than any other contract never signed or delivered. According to law and reason, or even common sense, the Constitution is no contract and binds no one and never did. All those who attempt to act by its authority are illegitimate pretenders. Not only do we not have the right to resist them, it is our moral duty to resist them.
